La Yaquiyori Pack Parrillero of wild chiltepin hot sauce

Make the boldest cocktail in your repertoire. The traditional Bloody Mary benefits enormously from wild chiltepin: the explosive spiciness replaces Tabasco with a cleaner, fruitier, more complex profile. It is a Bloody Mary with the character of northern Mexico.

Ingredients

  • 60 ml vodka
  • 150 ml tomato juice
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 generous tablespoon La Yaquiyori chiltepin hot sauce
  • Ice
  • Celery stalk and lime wheel for garnish

Method

1. In a highball glass, mix vodka, tomato juice, lime juice, Worcestershire sauce and La Yaquiyori chiltepin sauce.

2. Add ice and stir with a long spoon until integrated.

3. Garnish with a celery stalk and a lime wheel.

Tips

If you like a salted rim, rub a lime around the rim of the glass and dip it into a mix of salt and ground dried chiltepin. For an alcohol-free version (Virgin Mary), omit the vodka and keep everything else.
